Esse EP foi produzido especialmente para o lançamento do inédito The Power Of Goodbye (Lukesavant Release Me Mix), remixado por Lukesavant . Esse lançamento é exclusivo e apresenta essa faixa que ficou de fora de Retrofit.

I Want You (Lukesavant Cherish 4 Life Mix) dispensa apresentações, já falei muito desse remix no post sobre Retrofit. Liquid Love (Lukesavant MTA Mix) (embora sua versão original não seja uma balada sua letra transmite amor, assim com em algumas versões de Something To Remember, La Isla Bonita estava incluida, tomei a liberdade de incluir Liquid Love) e Miles Away (Lukesavant Passport Mix) assim como diversos remixes de Lukesavant apresentam um toque disco, retrô; delicioso. O novíssimo The Power Of Goodbye (Lukesavant Release Me Mix) lembra em al guns momento Gone, Gone, Gone. You´ll See (Lukesavant Broken Love Mix) volta com o ar retrô usando samples de Jump, um remix inovador para essa balada da coletânea Something To Remember.

O Google resolveu retirar minha primeira postagem sobre Retrofit, porquê? Não sei. Por isso a repostagem.

Para divulgar melhor o trabalho de Lukesavant resol vi fazer uma rese nha do album Retrofit, queria que fosse uma surpresa para vocês mas nem todos gostam de surpresas…

Lukesavant tem como marca registrada alterar um pouco os vocais que por vezes você pensa que é uma regravação de Madonna, não é ruim; é inovador.

Music é apenas um intro para esse album que apresenta diversas perspectivas musicais. A Intro é breve e prepara o campo para a faixa matadora de Retrofit: Hung Up (Lukesavant Anthem Mix) que é totalmente dance, com um ar Ibiza, Europa… essa é para você dançar. A dança não pode parar por isso Vogue (Lukesavant You Can Do It) é a próxima.

Comentei em meu post sobre Candy Shop que a canção não havia recebido um remix decente ainda, mudei de idéia Candy Shop (Lukesavant New Flavor Mix) traz um “q” dos anos 80 com hip hop. Muito boa e podemos claramente ouvir as ótimas alterações vocais feitas nesse remix. Comentei com Lukesavant que Time Stood Still (Lukesavant Might Have Been Mix) era a faixa mais esperada por mim, não errei em esperar, R&B classic, parece que a canção foi produzida para Bedtime Stories. Em momentos lembra Forbidden Love.

Deeper And Deeper (Lukesavant Falling In Love Interlude) dá um gusto de quero mais. Nothing Really Matters (Lukesavant New Beginnings Mix) é a surpresa do album, praticamente acústica, jamais pensei em ouvir essa música com violão e piano. Adorável.

Physical Attraction (Lukesavant 1 Night Mix) virou quase que uma balada com o acréscimo de piano. Bedtime Story (Lukesavant Function Mix) descontruiu completamente a música, continua electronica mas com guitarras mas não tornou pesada…não sei explicar mas está entre o TOP 3 de Retrofit. I Want You (Lukesavant Cherich 4 Life Mix) também está entre as 3 melhores, essa música já havia sido lançada cerca de um mês atrás e quase virou single aqui mas quando Lukesavant e eu conversamos sobre essa coletânea resolve esperar. O remix continua com os vocais clássicos em um corpo eletrônico.

O excelente album termina com Bad Girl (Lukesavant Devil Inside Mix) um remix misterioso usando samples de Devil Wouldn´t Recognize You.

Justify My Love - IMP Version

Justify My Love foi o divisor de águas de Madonna, a material girl abriu com essa faixa a terrível fase de sexual girl. Os escândalos alavancaram a venda do single e do primeiro vídeo-single da história.

Justify My Love, composta em parceria com Lenny Kravitz (que desde então fez parceria em outras ocasiões como em Ray Of Light no MTV VMA e em I Love NY na Confessions Tour) poderia ser simplesmente uma música romântica mas não aconteceu isso. Madonna queria escandalizar. Os fãs estavam ansiosos para saber como seria sua performance ao vivo no The Girlie Show, até que em meio as sombras surge um faixo de luz e Madonna, vestida da cabeça aos pés, em trajes vitorianos, lembrando o filme Dracula de Bram Stocker. A performance é contida, “por debaixo dos panos” e uma das melhores de Madonna; ainda que com o uso de playback boa parte da música.

Não é segredo para ninguém que não gosto da fase Erotica e escandalosa de Madonna, sua vida sexual não me interessa e sim sua performance como cantora/compositora. E sei que não sou o único. Tendo em vista esse público, produzi um single bonito, com arte clean e sem palavrões.

Gradativamente JML vai sendo alterada nesse single que começa com uma linda Intrumental Version. The Kennedy Mix é praticamente uma versão extend ida, esse remix também fará os fãs lembrarem de Marilyn Monroe; totalmente ligada a Madonna. Diepvries Edit já é uma pouco mais diferente, acordes diferentes. The English Mix é ótimo, JML recebe uma batida hip hop que os mais desavisados pode soar que JML foi produzida para o álbum Bedtime Story.

Vogue - IMP Version

Vogue foi primeiramente composta para ser um simples b-side, será que Madonna quando a escreveu pensou no sucesso que iria alcançar? Vogue foi número 1 no mundo todo e fez todos dançarem sua inconfundível coreografia. Vogue é famosa até hoje e recentemente apareceu no seriado Glee. Até os esquilos The Chipmunks fizeram uma cover de Vogue.

Esse EP começa e termina com a ótima versão da Sticky & Sweet, Akasha´s Full Sticky & Sweet Tour Edit e Sticky & Sweet Tour Instrumental. Bazar Groovemix 2008 é para as baladas mais eletrônicas. Dubtronic assina 2 remixes muito bons: Bradley & Dubtronic Electrofield Remix e Dubtronic First Move Remix, esse último tem uma levada house e é mais próxima da original.

Deep´s Versailles Dub faz uma ligação da Imperatriz de Vogue da Re-Invention Tour com a Imperatriz do conto The Empress em um mash up bacana, diferente e raro. Lo-Fi Poseur

é um remix bem diferente. O novo Lukesavant You Can Do It Mix e RA´s Superfiltered Remix remontam uma Vogue completamente nova e muito dançante.

Keep It Together - IMP Version

Keep It Together poderia muito bem ter sido lançada como uma balada devido ao conteúdo da letra: a importância da família. Depois de escancarar o verbo sobre suas relações familiares em Promisse To Try, Oh Father e Till Death Do Us Apart, até parece irônico Madonna cantando sobre família mas no fundo ela sempre quis atenção e colo, sempre desejou estar perto da família. Perfeita ou não é família e o “sangue é mais grosso que qualquer coisa”.

Essa ótima música foi performada maravilhosamente somente na Blond Ambition. A música é ótima mas os remixes são praticamente iguais. Lembro –me que quando comprei a K-7 (!?) que continha o single de KIT havia uma versão que nunca encontrei em MP3, era um mash up com Tom´s Diner, de Suzanne Vega; se alguém tiver essa versão manda para mim por favor.

Como destaque do single os remixes assinados por Dubtronic e Lukesavant, que são os remixes mais diferentes e também a versão DirtyHands Epic Mix que tem mais de 11 minutos.

Spotlight - IMP Version

Depois de You Can Dance vermelho, azul e amarelo não tinha outra pessoa melhor para fazer a capa desse single do que Ale Sagatto, o rapaz ama You Can Dance e Spotlight. Sabendo disso, quando decidi lançar esse single nem pensei em produzir a capa pois sabia que ele iria fazer um ótimo trabalho e fez. A capa ficou bem retrô, saudosos oitentas. Ale, esse single dedico a você; obrigado pela sua amizade, apoio e parceria.

Spotlight é a única faixa inédita da já comentada coletânea de remixes You Can Dance, a primeira coletânea lançada desse gênero. Spotlight é a Madonna pura, na raiz oitentista . A faixa foi esquecida por Madonna completamente, foi lançada como single (= gravadora querendo ganhar mais dinheiro) e nada mais.

Spotlight – IMP Version traz 5 versões, destaque para a ótima Dens54 2005 Remix e Get Spotlight Together que é um mash up bacana com Spotlight e Get Together.

Causing A Commotion - IMP Version

Causing A Commotion é a mais agitada música da trilha sonora de Who´s That Girl, um grande sucesso de Madonna que infelizmente só foi apresentado ao vivo na Who´s That Girl Tour e Blond Ambition Tour. A faixa entraria perfeitamente no quadro

Old School da Sticky & Sweet Tour.

Ainda que o filme não tenha sido um grande sucesso (ainda não sei o motivo, porquê é ótimo), Causing A Commotion nunca entrou em nenhuma coletânea. Ainda que o filme não tenha feito sucesso, a trilha fez e sempre foi esquecida nas coletâneas.

Esse single está ótimo, adorei essa arte que fiz; a cara da personagem Niki Finn querendo encrenca ficou perfeita. Já começa com a divertida Intro retirada do Original Motion Picture Escore Soundtrack, essa versão irá fazer você relembrar do filme todo. DJ PTW Remix (VS Into The Groove) é um choque e mostra como CAC é ligada com Into The Groove, mashup interessante. Birds 2007 Mix é o mais próximo da versão original e Dubtronic Concussion Remix Demo mescla sons oitentistas e atuais, ainda que seja um remix demo está ótimo. O destaque é claro vai para Keenan´s Mix, é perfeito, o melhor remix de CAC feito até hoje e fico feliz em ter dito isso ao próprio Keenan também.

Enquanto eu produzia MAD PACK 31 (80´s), meu irmão Ale Sagatto produzia Retrosonic. Enquanto MAD PACK 80´s trazia remixes da era dourada de Madonna, Retrosonic traz sucessos mais novos de Madonna mas com roupagem oitentista.

São 10 canções totalmente retrô e uma das melhores compilações que já baixei, a maioria dos remixes eu já conhecia mas ter todos juntinho é muito bom. Destaque para o melhor remix para Give It 2 Me, Orbit Back 1998 Mix.

Fiquei muito empolgado com Candy Shop (Lukesavant New Flavor Remix) que resolvi montar esse I Know I Can Do It Better EP apresentando 9 remixes de Hard Candy.

Candy Shop (Lukesavant New Flavor Remix) não poderia faltar, fantástica. 4 Minutes e Give It 2 Me aparecem 4 remixes fantásticos incluindo um produzido pelos meus queridos Henka & Haton (quero mais remixes). Miles Away (Foxtrot Rock Version) é o mais diferente remix dessa faixa que já ouvi, completamente rock e muito bem produzido. O EP termina com o ótimo Across The Sky (Dubtronic Dance Like A Machine Remix Edit).

La Isla Bonita - IMP Version

La Isla Bonita, quem consegue ouvir essa música e não lembrar de Madonna dançando nas ruas com um vestidão vermelho? E as performances em Drowned World Tour e Live Earth? Madonna mostrou seu lado latino com La Isla Bonita e com isso abocanhou mais uma fatia do mescado fonográfico.

Alguém duvida que Madonna ama La Isla Bonita? Essa música que foi primeiramente composta para Michael Jackson (para seu album Bad, mas recusou, ponto para Madonna) é uma das mais tocadas em shows; o que não é nada ruim.

Comemorando os 52 anos de Madonna, HOLIDAY SHARE não poderia esquecer um clássico do 3º álbum da cantora, La Isla Bonita. Há diversos remixes para La Isla Bonita, alguns muito bons como os escolhidos para esse single. Dens54 Mysthelectro Remix 2006 e Donny ´s Tropical Island Radio Edit trazem toda a latinidade da canção e com Luin´s Island Breeze Mix você irá sentir que está na Ilha da Fantasia. Dubtronic is a special friend of mine, he has helped me since de beginning of my HOLIDAY SHARE Project. Our first work together was The Game single, including the first The Game remix produced and release worldwide in the internet. DUBTRONIC and HOLIDAY SHARE have since then released exclusive remixes and albuns like Mantra and More Madonna. Celebration Dubtronic Waiting For Remix is one of the most downloaded files in HOLIDAY SHARE, more than 1600 downloads.

Madonna´s fans really love Dubtronic´s remixes and they can wait for another Dubtronic remix and in this interview HOLIDAY SHARE will show the man behind these great remixes. Dubtronic is so kind...and I want to say thank you Dubtronic again.

Inco: First of all let´s talk about the man behind Dubtronic. Where do you live? How old are you? What do you do for life?
Dubtronic: I live in Zürich, Switzerland. I was born in 1973, that makes me 37  and I work as a nurse in a psychiatry.

Dubtronic: My Lucky Star ? Should I say Madonna ?
Inco: Why “Dubtronic”?
Dubtronic: Oh, first i was calling myself Dubstar, after a favourite band of mine that quit some years ago. But that name was causing some trouble, so I renamed myself Dubtronic: A combination of Dub (always loved the dub mixes) and of electronic (most of my mixes are electronica)
Inco: Dubtronic in one word?

Inco: And why Madonna?
Dubtronic: She is a fascinating woman!
Inco: When did you start listening to Madonna? How? What is Madonna´s influence in your life?
Dubtronic: I remember listening to some songs on the radio like Holiday or Lucky Star. Then my friends gave me the Like A Virgin Cassette to my birthday – that’s when i fell in Love....
Since then she has been an influence in my life, my coming out, my love in music, my work ethic...

Dubtronic: i always loved the erotica/sex phase (provocation), the Ray of light era (spiritualism) – but I don’t like her when she is too preachy.
Inco: What Madonna song you can say “it´s me”?Explain please.
Dubtronic: oh there are so many, really can’t say. I always felt very close to Live To Tell and Skin. They have a melancholy i like.
Inco: I love them too, Nothing Really Matters is Inco! What do you expect of the next Madonna album? A brunette Madonna? (Dubtronic, like me; loves the brunette Madonna).
Dubtronic: Wishful Thinking. Hope she is going more into retro-folktronica – that sound suits her! And she should try the cosmic disco sound

Inco: When did you start remixing?
Dubtronic: about 3 years ago
Inco: What was your first remix? How did you feel when you released it?
Dubtronic: Think it was a Jump remix, quite bad actually... I was excited to see the reactions of the people.
Inco: I don´t think Jump Remix is a bad remix. This remix was supposed to be in my Jump – IMP Version single, but you talked about it, so I´m gonna release this rare remix now and HERE, lol. Is there any released remix that you think it wasn´t good enought to release? Which one would you re- produce?
Dubtronic: Oh, all the Demo’s you released recently and the revolver mixes
Inco: What was the most hard remix to produce?
Dubtronic: You’ll see (Damaris Remix) DEMO
Inco: I think You’ll see (Damaris Remix) is on of your best remixes, the complete version will be release soon here in an exclusive Dubtronic single. There are a lot of famous Madonna remixers, how do you feel remixing Madonna, the Queen of pop?
Dubtronic: First I really have to say that i’m not really remixing Madonna. Most of my mixes are made with an existing instrumental / track, so they are mash-ups. The only mix I entirely produced is the “Think Of Me” Remix. The reason why I remix Madonna? i don’t like most of the offical remixes...
Inco: What other DJ´s do you like?
Dubtronic: Hmm – some Techno DJ’s like Carl Craig or Trentemoller. I love Aeroplane as well.
Inco: Have you ever thought about producing a remix with another Madonna remixer? Who would you like to work with?
Dubtronic: I m often collaborating with ADRC, He does a lot of the filtered acapellas for me, prelistens my mixes and gives me feedback. I was thinking about doing a remix with Lukesavant but that never got into final stages.... Never thought about doing another collaboration....
Inco: A Dubtronic and Lukesavant remix would be very interesting. When a remix is released, usually you released a video. Do you produce these videos? Have you ever thought about to let them available to download too?
Dubtronic: Yes, I made most of them .Think they’re quite bads, they’re only made to promote my remixes. I take several fanmade remix vídeos and put them together in a very amateur kind of way.That’s why i don’t think I can put them up for download. The best remix vídeo is Lucky Star (ADRC VS Dubtronic Neon Lights Remix), that was made by DJ Flange and has been released.
Inco:If you didn´t download Lucky Star video, do it now HERE. Madonna´s fans, like her; love perfection. Have you ever been criticized about a remix you produced? How do you feel when people criticize you? How do you face when people doesn´t like one of your remixes?
Dubtronic: I am a perfectionist as well – when it comes to remixing. Well, constructive critizism can help me make better mixes, so i don’t have anything agaist that. And :Taste differs.....

Inco: I already said it to you: I love your remixes but The Power Of Goodbye (Dubtronic White Room Remix) and X-Static Process (Dubtronic Far Away Remix) are masterpiece. These remixes are so touching, they can bring tears in our eyes. What pattern do you use to remix a song? What do you have in mind when you choose a song to remix?
Dubtronic: I love to produce slow mixes for slow songs. And i’m very much into the sound of the 80ies as well, so i always try this first. And sometimes I just like to do a full on club mix ...
Inco: Albums such as Mantra, More Madonna and Test Drive are loved by your fans, do you intend to produce soon another complete Dubtronic album? Remember I already asked Mantra 2! Are there Dubtronic demos enough to produce a TEST DRIVE 2?
Dubtronic: no, did not think about producing a new album. I want to relase a mix as soon as it’s finished, i’m not a very patient person.
Inco: I think there readers are not patient either. In 90´s decade, Madonna showed several faces since the Erotica album and it´s dirtiness till the bright and lightness of Ray Of Light. I have noticed you have remixed a lot of songs from 80´s and 00´s decades, don´t you like the 90´s era? Just to remember, the masterpiece Ray Of Light was released in 1998.
Dubtronic: Oh, i have remixed a lot of the Ray of light album, songs from Bedtime Stories and Erotica as well. There’s are some songs in production like Beautiful Stranger, Give It 2 Me, Fever or Get Together.
Give me an acapella and I’ll try my best. Sometimes I just don’t find a matching instrumental....
Inco: I already listened to your Fever remix demo, loved it. You remix only to internet or you are a DJ in parties too?

Inco: Have you ever been dancing in a party and suddenly one of your remixes start playing? How did you feel?
Dubtronic: Yeah, one of my friends played one. It felt strange, but i love to watch people dancing to my music/mixes
Inco: You are a celebrity in “Madonnic world”, how do you think about it?
Dubtronic: Well, not a celebrity, i’m just a well known amateur Madonna remixer!
Inco: Have you ever been in Brazil? Do you know some Brazilian singer?
Dubtronic: no, never been there, unfortunately. Bebel Gilberto is brazilian, right?
Inco: You have a lot of Brazilian fans, have you thought about producing a remix using “Brazilian rhythm” like samba or bossa-nova?
Dubtronic: yeah, though about it, wanted to produce a To Have And Not To Hold Remix in that way – but failed...
Inco:Man, I listened to your To Have And Not To Hold Remix, I think it´s lovely. Last year you produced a special remix to Hung Up, called Dubtronic Celebrating Inco Remix, this remix was a gift to my birthday; I loved it... can I wait for another special gift to me this year? Lol
